Looks like Knock have revamped the aergrind. The price has sadly gone up a bit too (not surprising, the old version was quite a bargain)

I’ve had good service making my daily filter with my original version for the last 5 years. It hasn’t really missed a beat.

New version has different burrs, new lid, better bearing alignment, screw off grounds catcher, thicker handle (the handle on mine is beginning to wear a little.

Looks smart, would love to see a side by side comparison of new and old to see if the titanium burrs and longer axel are a noticeable difference over the black steel and shorter one. For £20 more than the old version it seems a great upgrade, but you’re also getting into a competitive price bracket where 1zpresso have some very strong grinders.

Also hope these new parts are compatible with the old one, imagine the new lid and burrs may not be but the upgraded handle would certainly be nice.

I’ve been using my Aergrind v1 for the last 8 days with an Aeropress while away in America. Such a great little hand grinder! Liking the look of the updated version too.

I bagged a real bargain then, as I got mine when it was a Kickstarter thing. Came with a mug, a (crap) teeshirt and the Aerdisc metal Aeropress filter disc, for about £70 from memory! I did buy the metal lid upgrade when that came out, because it elevates the quality feel a lot over the horrible plastic lid the original came with.

I will add this to my list ,thanks. Currently debating how much I can justify spending on a hand grinder for holidays etc.

We’re away in May and I might just take my Niche - but its a huge faff.

Given how much it will get used, I’m really not sure.

PortafilterProcrastinator I find a small handgrinder like the Aergrind ideal for travel and would recommend it, but really the question is how often you will go away and what sort of coffee you make. You could probably get away with a cheaper Timemore C2 or 1zpresso Q2 if you’re only after filter, for example.

It looks like the new Aergrind is a bit taller than before, I can’t remember how tall the previous model is and I don’t have mine on me to measure.
