We have had Nutribullet 900w for a long time. Recently, the blade extractor-cum-lid broke. We got a replacement from Amazon. That was a mistake as dark brown liquid started ozzing out. Apparently, it was leaky. We opened it to see the whole assembly had rusted. The replacement is barely 2 months old. Amazon is kind enough to accept the refund.

Although plenty of replacements are available, but none of them is genuine. The OEM isn’t available with Nutribullet for a long time. The availability of original accessories are always a problem.

We are looking for an alternative blender. Is there a good alternative? Thx

We have used a Vitamix 2300i for close to 18 months now, it handles both superbly. They’re not cheap but I like the approach to motor and jug, the non-sharp blades and the heating through friction. You get good at it and working out what to. perhaps sauté rather than include raw. I didn’t see the need for the increased automation options of the more expensive siblings.

Vitamix is the Rolls Royce

We have had a Vitamix for over ten years now, gets a lot of use and has never missed a beat. Like PaulL said, it is pricey, but chances are our grandkids will still be using it long after we’ve gone.

We’ve been really happy with our Sage Boss to Go blender. We’ve had it years without issue, it blends incredibly smoothly, and is easy to clean (everything can go in the dishwasher).

I’m pretty sure it was a Which best buy when we got it. Pretty much the only negative is it’s not recommended to use for hot liquids. You can do it, but because there’s no way to vent it, you have to open it in the sink and it will spray when the pressure is released.

Blimey, the Vitamix 2300i £500!

Is the 10 Year guarantee vs 5 for the base model worth it.

    LMSC I assume we can blend the hot soup.

    Or you can get a Thermomix and cook the soup in it. ;-)

      Some great ideas and wonderful recommendations.

      From what I’ve read the Magimix blender is a bit of a beast too and starts at less than half the price of the Vitamix ranging from £200-£250.

      Worth a look.
