Hi Russ, welcome to the forum.
Is the machine in working order?
As Jake has already asked, what type of water are you using as descaling the V might be tricky?
It is a great machine that gives their owner the opportunity to experiment in a broad range of parameters, e.g. pressure, temperature, time, etc. to achieve some memorable results.
@DavecUK has developed, together with Paolo, the V and you could not find a better place to learn more about this machine.
Parts are usually purchased directly from ACS, unless it is something very standard, e.g. E61 replacing kit.
Enjoy!
Current setup: ACS Vesuvius, Nuova Simonelli Mythos One. Past experience, Nuova Simonelli Apia 1 gr., San Remo Capri 1 gr., Bezzera BZ 35e, Fracino Heavenly. Anfim Super Lusso.

@ “Cuprajake”#p37048 hi Jake .. thanks for the speedy reply .. really appreciated ..no not off eBay a guy I know lives near me .. I’m in Chelmsford I think it’s a 2019 not the v10 I’m using filtered water from Brita p1000 tap..
ah, was wondering if it was a friends old machine thats all,
easy way to tell the state of boilers is a tds pen, drain brew and steam boiler water in to two cups, allow to cool and see what it reads,
if its really high then you may need a descale, if not great stuff

@ “John_Yossarian”#p37077 hi john thanks for taking the time to answer me … it’s a great machine seems to work perfectly .. pulled some great shots already .. had and still got a rancillio silvia for the past 10 years… would like to just get to know it inside out ..
in terms of spares the group is an e61 so the service items will be normalized across the board,
if you need odd stuff acs repond quick to emails : sales@mevsrl.net
i would recommend a new group gasket, cafelat do the red or blue silicone seals for around £8

easiest way if you’re not sure is to up load unlisted vids on youtube, and link them here,

Cuprajake thanks for that going to order one tonight .. just think I’ll get it set as I like it on profile 1 and leave it 😂..
I’ve always wanted a Vesuvius, the idea of profiling really appeals to me.
Have you any pics

WorldsPantry One of the things I really like about it is that you can change your profile to suit your taste more with any given bean. I’ve done things like a higher initial pressure to increase acidity/fruity and visa versa to reduce it, and it has made beans much more pleasant to my taste which otherwise may not have been possible. I generally buy 1 kg at a time so it’s great to be able to manipulate the taste in these scenarios! You can of course change temperature ratio etc. but the pressure profile is a great trick once you get that hang of it. Stick with it, it’s a great machine
JahLaza to be honest that’s exactly the sort of help or guidance I need .. I’d really appreciate any further tips .. I’m assuming you have the same machine … ?
WorldsPantry It’s fun to experiment learn and the beauty of it is, you can learn at whatever pace you want. Then save the profiles you like best.
DavecUK it’s exciting .. takes you down the rabbit hole … just a quick question Dave I’m trying to plumb this in to the mains and it didn’t come with the hose as it’s obviously secondhand. Can’t find anything in the manual either and searched extensively online . Have I assumed correctly I will need to install one of these into the bottom of the machine. 6mmx ⅜ BSPT 90° male stud elbow, push-in fitting nylon pipe/tube connector… then I can connect a piece of 6mm pipe into a T in-line with the output of my Britta water filter tap.. ??

WorldsPantry here is a picture of the hose that comes with it for plumbing in. Each end has a Flange with outer diameter of 13mm and it’s nut is 23mm outer diameter
