tompoland Thank you very much, Sir!

Interesting that there is only one diagonal brace. Clearly the side panels do enough of a reinforcement job that it’s enough (or possibly even ‘too much’).

This one posted 2 days ago in coffeesnobs, from a profitec, so it may be a common issue.

just a generic plastic connector, most use them, mine has one,

Does anyone know the ID of the pipes so that the appropriately sized Y connector can be ordered?

The guy in the Coffeesnobs entry that Tom referred to stated ¼″(so 6mm)….can anyone confirm that?

Paolo5 I hope it’s ¼ inch cos that’s what I just ordered. I’ll let you know if it fits. (I was too lazy to pull the panels off again so took a punt.)

¼ inch is correct. My brass connector arrived today but I’m waiting for a tiny pair of hands to walk in the door before I attempt to fit it. The access is too small for my big mitts.

Also, i just noticed that the original blue connector looks far more solid than the ones in photos that have failed (from other machines). So now I’m wondering if it’s even worthwhile to swap it out for brass. I may just keep the brass one as a back up.

Thats a good point. It may be better to keep the stainless steel connector in reserve until it is needed if the original part breaks down. Even if it does break down, also consult with the dealer and manufacturer first on whether to use that part or their replacement part in the interests of the warranty.

yeah, id leave be till needed, id say get some of the silicone tubing too for when the time comes as most the time, you see the connector and tubing degraded,

What size tubing would you used for the brass connection. It’s prob worth looking at it for mine in the future.

You’d think they would be metal the small fortune these machine cost haha

This was very interesting. Showcasing a smoking hot Kees Van Der Western Slim Jim which IMHO is the most desirable lever on the planet. But is besides the point which is that two of the features showcased in the video (flush and pressure release) are replicated by the paddles on the Nurri.

I really like the look of the new ACS Vostock and the inclusion of a similar post-shot pressure release feature is impressive too but I am hoping that it can be manually triggered because I like the way the Nurri paddle allows me to choose when to end the shot, like on the Slim Jim.

For me the idrocompresso isnt in the same category as its not available in single group form and the size and cost of the 2 group machine are prohibitive to all but the very well heeled being many times the cost of the nurri. Despite that I believe the only things the slim Jim can do that the nurri cannot do are the ability to adjust the length of the springs and the safety feature to lock the lever handle. All othrr things held comstant is there going to also necezsarily be any better quality in the cup? I doubt that as well.

chlorox agree with all of that.

However the aethetics gets a “Hell Yeah” from me.

(Not that the Nurri isn’t a stunner as well)

What happens it you accidentally vent the group

I’ve often though about this for both the nurri/Vostok

I know the kvdw has the lock

I’ve pondered that the vent on the nurri/vostok will be a limited size so it allows the arm not to ping back but come back slower is that the case
