Check out my thread in Discounts and Deals for the code for this offer

Systemic I’m due a replacement bag for one of my first batch, so probably won’t pick any more up at the moment, but they deserve all the credit for their efforts and the way they’ve handled it all.

Will certainly be buying a fair few more kgs at full price this year.

Systemic Do you know which one is good for espresso? I have Marax and DF64, without pre-infusion/floe control upgraded. Also interested if I can try light roast beans?

Django don’t do specific espresso roasts, i.e. darker. They omni roast - suitable for pour over and espresso. I use them for both. Recommend giving them a go - at the discount offered, they are a steal. Pick one whose tasting notes are the most appealing to you.

If you’ve not a lot experience using lighter roasts as espresso, you might find you have to dose a bit higher and grind finer than usual. I dose 17.5 - 18grms at a ratio of 1:2 - 1:2.5 in 25-30 secs. If the shot comes out too acidic, grind finer. But try and avoid extending shot time or you’ll get overextracted bitter notes.

Let us know how you get on.

Bought another 2Kg after getting 2 only a few weeks ago. Glad I bought that chest freezer for the garage! 😆

Have ordered 3kg. Enjoyed the last beans I had from them and this is a great offer.

Any recommendations out of the mbata, green land, Burundi or Brazil Rancho? I use a Bianca for espresso with a flat white amount of milk.

Yeah I’ve been contemplating these too but not sure.

I’m enjoying the Mbata in latte’s, very fruity

Yes, I absolutely loved that at first, but I think I opened it quite early at 7 days, and it’s lost a lot of the fruitiness as it’s aged. Still decent, but I’m not sure about a kg

How are you storing the beans? How many times a day do you open the container ?

I have one of the coffeevac containers from coffee compass, though it has seen better days. I’ll open it 3 or 4 times a day, each time I make an espresso.

Had a kilo of Django’s Colombian which was stonking both as pour over and espresso. Looking forward to the next order dropping this week.

I got the email from Ste and despite having bought a kilo of Kisinga and Mbata on the recent ‘new roaster’ discount, I ordered a kilo of Rancho Grande and Burundi Businde as well. Not often you get offered coffee as good as Django for £16/kg delivered. However I shared the love, I’m going to split the latest haul with my buddy, 500g of each.

Some is sealed in the freezer and the open ones are in a couple of Airscapes.
