Excellent plan.
Stylistically, the space under the drip tray is the only thing that looks a bit unfinished.
I know the deeper drip tray will address this but dropping it all 20 mm works as well.

I am in the middle of replacing the 490mm deep bench top on my coffee sideboard with a 710mm one so it should fit.
Building a new steel 650mm deep base on wheels is jut as important to maintain stability.

DavecUK Thanks for the clarification! I can understand it, but not entirely. Pressure obviously plays a crucial role during extraction. So is it really something that can be compromised on without sacrificing too much in terms of quality?

This is just out of interest, as I assume that 10.5 or 11 bar would not make much difference on the Vostok and the additional cost and effort probably wouldn’t be worth it.

I’d love to see the GIF however 😅

Tiramigiu I’d love to see the GIF however 😅

Nah, I’d like to just for vicarious enjoyment but I would simply be indulging myself.

DavecUK yes you did but from memory it was automatically activated as opposed to manually activated via the recessed button so maybe the latter is what Jake is after.

    hi,

i want someone to grind a med dark bean on 4 on a niche, pull the lever, choke the machine, lift the lever then press the button , :)

Today, I had asked Maria of ACS re-Vostok’s price. It’s very attractively / competitively priced, tbh.

    Concerning the Vostok single group:

We have scheduled the production of the Vostok single group by the beginning of March and we are accepting pre-orders.

For the technical features and pictures follow the link below:

The new Vostok single group is equipped, besides of the main control panel, with an innovative dosing system, to control the group with additional unique features.

On the main display, not considering the standard functions, you can set the preinfusion pressure that will be controlled electronically.

On the additional board you can work in 2 ways: by time or pressure. When the time mode is selected you can set 2 different duration of total infusion, when the pressure mode is selected you can set 2 different pressure to end the shot. In both cases during the shot when the values are reached the water in excess will be discharged, as well as the residual pressure in the group. The preferred way is by pressure because at a certain pressure a precise quantity of water will flow out.

We have checked that independently from the grinding or qty of coffee at a certain pressure the volume of the coffee it’s always the same. Of course there is always the possibility to stop the brewing manually, there are 3 buttons to program the board in an easy way and this display will be positioned on the left side between the group and steam or water tap.
Also, there are 2 timer on the display, the top is the preinfusion and the bottom the infusion. In the setting you can set and then visualize the pressure set or the time set.

Actually this functions are unique on the lever machines scenario and we hope that our customers will appreciate.

I now have to get in touch with Maria and decide on timber.
They only had oak initially and that handle is very tempting.

That’s a picture of an EVO by the way.🤔😀

Placed my pre-order last week, hope the production schedule stays on track. Cant say I’ve ever received a 50 kilo box from Italy.

        Amberale handle is very tempting.

Please don’t start! We have some folks who may be tempted to grab one for their Evo! 🤣

          LMSC
It’s a no brainer for me.
If I can have one I want it.
It reminds me of Gabor’s stirrup handle for the original Naked pressure gauge kit for the Strietman CT1.
I’ll want a straight one as well.
          $$$$

          Amberale

          Thats mine 😉

I find it quite ergonomic, especially when I’m using two hands to pull down the lever.

The straight handle should be included too when you order the V handle, at least mine did.

            LMSC

Did you get a price for that handle?
I can’t see it on the list and Maria hasn’t replied to my Valentines day message.

            • LMSC replied to this.

Amberale I think that’s listed as an LSM at £150 and Maria had provided the link for that lever handle.

She will definitely reply as they are extremely busy most of the time.

                LMSC

Yes they are usually very good and I try to never rush them.
I knew I should have sent chocolates.

Amberale I figure just the groups would be worth $6k.

Not far off - I bought two LSM groups from CoffeeParts about 5 years ago @ AUD900 each which they admittedly underquoted on - and were selling in the US at the time for about USD1000.

It’s sad that more groups make a machine look even more sexier

                  simonko

I’m trying to work out how I can put mirrors up around my one group to make it look bigger.
                  The Vostok I mean!
                  :)
