I believe I have one of those or something very similar because I used to play a lot of guitar! Got mine when I had a Yamaha 12 string acoustic because the bridge pins were too close together and I couldn’t grip to pull them out.

Flat_Eric Ladies and gentlemen - we have a winner. Well gentlemen, don’t think there are any ladies here.

As Flat_Eric says, it’s for pulling the pins that secure the strings through the bridge on steel strung acoustic guitars. It slips over the head of the pin, then the collar is pushed down before pulling the pin out. It saves levering them out which risks damage to the bridge or pliers which risks damage to the pin.

OK I’ll bite…..well I was going to until I realised that’s a little hooked spike and there is a groove in the block…so no I’m not gonna guess because I have absolutely no idea.,

Norvin has that been fabri-cobbled together or is that how it comes?

Norvin does is split/cut something? That little hook looks pretty sharp and the square part has a recess in the side of it

No, it’s not for splitting or cutting. That bit is sharp but it’s not needed for its function.

Does the “pin” move forward when you turn the knurled bit at the end, what happens if you turn the knurled bit in between the handles?

The pin is fixed to the leg. The centre knurled bit rotates but that is not important, the centre bit is spring loaded and moves back and forth.

Near enough. It’s a pair of lockwire pliers. Used for twisting stainless wire to lock fasteners in place. Often used in racing where regulations stipulate the sump plugs etc have to be wired to stop them unfastening to prevent oil being dumped on the track, but also useful for stopping bits of classic bikes vibrating off.
