Berryterry Ah, if the pump is still running, then that’s good. It’s probably sucked some air and can be a real bugger to prime. This could be for any reason, the tube to high in the tank, water sensor too low. Best thing is to fill the tank right up full and try and run it for 20 seconds at a time with a short rest and see if it primes. If not, get a squirty bottle thing try and squirt some in the tube till it primes, then dunk it in the water.
It should also prime much easier when the machine is cold. I remember I reviewed a La Spaziale Vivaldi which I ran from a bottle. It had a standard rotary pump but mounted in a way that when it sucked air, it wouldn’t prime from the bottle until cold. The pressure in the boilers was just too high when it was hot.
Yes, this forum is a very lean implementation, and I hope to keep it lean. CFUK was such a mess created over many years, that not much could be done. The owner was also worried about SEO all the time if things were moved or renamed…me I couldn’t give a monkeys about SEO. The beauty of being totally non-commercial. I’ve no masters to serve, only the members.
If I’m honest, I much prefer it this way
