cyclezib I can confirm that you’ll get greater consistency with the Nurri. I have both and love them both very much.
The consistency in the Nurri comes from the pre-set pressure of a sprung lever machine versus the manual pressure of a direct lever.
There are pluses and minuses with both direct and sprung. The direct gives you more real time control over the pour. The sprung trades that level of control off for consistency. Yes, you can stop a sprung lever but it’s not built for that.
To date, I have different grinders paired with each of the two machines so I can’t tell you if one produces a preferred espresso versus the other.
One day I’ll dial in the Moca SD for the Strietman and do some side by side comparisons between it and the Nurri.
