Adrianmsmith thanks, yes the seat in my circles piece seems somewhat jammed,it’s back together now but I’ll try again later, I reckon a cocktail stick will break straight away. Can it be pushed out of the casing some way?
DavecUK 10 bar straight discharged for the entire shot see video below. It actually shot up to 11.3 bar and then settled around 10.3 for the most of the shot. Could it be some bit of debris in the brew circuit again (that happened last year I posted on here) would that affect the 9 bar shot also?
Edit: I checked and pump speed is at 190, pid settings are as factory default
Maybe @DavecUK has something to hand to help you. That’s the only photo I could find and no longer have it .
Also check the orientation of all of your parts. … See differences in my and your picture

Adrianmsmith apologies for the confusion I’ve caused with that, the valve circled below was oriented the opposite way when in use and when I replaced 
JahLaza The tube you circled is not where the valve seals. Clearly the vent valve is the wrong way up, but the red arrows show the valves viton seal and the seat is inside the tube, also shown with a red arrow. Check they are clean.
DavecUK yes, it was the wrong way up in the picture I took, it was the right way up anytime it’s been in place. Thanks for informing the identity of the valves.
my question was then on to the very bottom piece/tube/barrel, is there any internal part in that? If yes, can that be removed?
L’autre problem - what’s your thoughts on the straight 10 bar shot? It’s discharging water to the drip tray excessively for the entire shot. Many thanks in advance
Also I believe the picture shows the other parts in the correct orientation.

Adrianmsmith ok, cool, that’s what I was trying to figure, because I think the part you circled red is causing my issue, and I was wondering how I might remove it. According to your diagram I should be able to remove it from the top of the barrel?

Adrianmsmith ok, tongue in cheek! Please appreciate my ignorance in the E61 arena!! I disassembled again, easily removed that piece which I see just sits there and couldn’t be contributing to my issue! I changed the spring for the spare one supplied by acs which is longer but has less tension, and that has resolved the issue although it’s a little too loose id say, so, the issue was the spring me thinks.Apologies to you and @DavecUK for all my questions on that 😌
JahLaza The spring you used was the longer preinfusion spring that is normally not used. They leave it in the bag in case you with to enable the preinfusion chamber for some reason.
It’s not a spare. Count the turns on the ones you have against my picture and ensure the correct springs are used. The “spare” is from the un-mod’d preinfusion chamber.

Thanks folks, I quickly realised that when I tried it out at temp/pressure. The other spring back in now. It does seem like the spring is the cause of the stiff lever action for venting though? I might look for a replacement… Any thoughts on the excessive water discharge issue?

The piece you had “stuck”. Small face goes down not up. If you think of it as a top hat it goes upside down.

If you disassemble again please post a picture of all of the parts laid out as you will reassemble them in the orientation you intend to reassemble.
Also confirm the cam is correct and you fitted the cam lever first then the top and bottom chambers.
I’m still thinking assembly issue, sorry as it really can’t be wrong if it’s clean and moly on all springs and surfaces for assembly.

Adrianmsmith Hi, I disassembled again, here’s some pics, orientation as I disassembled and reassembled. molycote everywhere, all along spindle, all around cam, all around valves where they meet anything else, put back together again, cam first, top barrel, bottom barrel, lever, and it’s still stiff. The only time it hasn’t been stiff is when I changed that spring!
Adrianmsmith yeah that wasn’t an issue, it was sitting correctly, I was just unfamiliar with it and had ruled everything else out, apologies for going on about it - speaking about your post with the diagram, piece I thought was stuck
