HarveyMushman According to my wife we watched the film version, not that I can remember it. Will have to watch it again and do a comparison.

Thought The Gentlemen was very good and see they have left it open for another series. But as far TV as gangster series go, my top three so far are Peaky Blinders, Kin and my favourite Gangs of London.

Rewatching the Sopranos at the moment, it’s an absolute masterpiece.

Loved Sopranos and another excellent one worth watching is Sons of Anarchy with Ron Perlman and the UK’S Charlie Hunnam.

This has to be the best rendition of Heroes I have ever heard. Live no processing and he really seems to be enjoying it.

Also RIP Steve Harley (who died recently)…again the best version of Come up and see me I have ever heard, again live and unprocessed or pitch corrected. It’s non well known that Steve did a stint as Phantom of the Opera with Sarah Brightman. The guy could actually sing really well. The Wolfgram Sisters are the backing him, but are good singers in their own right, great backing vocals.

Not quite. He was first choice for the stage production but was dropped after rehearsals in favour of Michael Crawford which led to Steve suing ALW for compensation. Steve did record the promotional duet with Brightman though, which was released and successful. ALW never did explain why he dropped Harley.

Discovered this a few months ago. The Floyd’s Hey You put together with a video made in 1930’s cartoon style about modern day alienation. They go together so well that it’s hard to believe that it wasn’t made to accompany the song.

Whilst his more recent stuff is a bit lacking, Joe Bonamassa has some fantastic tracks and knows his way around a blues cover.

His ‘Live at Royal Albert Hall’ gig from about 10 years ago is a treat and on YouTube. Clapton comes out and does the number he did on The Last Waltz.

Since it has been on lots have been said about it but boy is it good. A real emotional rollercoaster brilliantly acted and to think it is a true story..

      Baby Reindeer.

A drama worthy of any award.

I started watching Rabbit Hole last night on Paramount+, starring Kieffer Sutherland. I watched the first episode and at the end I was well and truly hooked. Then I watched 2 more and it just gets better and better.

      Highly, highly, recommended|!

It’s good that watched it last year. Took me a bit to workout.

I use YT a lot for music. I was in the car earlier and a playlist option came up for a David Gilmour Mix, so I tried it. The 3rd song in was No Decoder by Yogi Lang. It seems to be quite an old song and being aa fuddy duddy I have never heard of them! They are a sort of Floyd crossed with Yes but I found it quite pleasant to listen to

Thread revival. Teddy Swims . And American Rust S2

Though I have been aware of the Cure for many years I hadnt really listened to them until a few weeks ago. Certainly they were well ‘ before my time’ 😄. However, I can’t seem to get Close To Me out of my head at the moment. Love the brass section at the end.
