Not that i feel the need to explain my actions to the perfect person you obviously are but here goes anyway: the 2 extra dots are wrongly measured centre pop only. Not an issue at all in real life, unless you feel the need to explain why it is so?

The “bottom” of the 4 holes in the photo is the original BTW

I may be interested if you have any further, more constructive comments to pass on .

About Me

Just think it’s a bit odd to have to modify to that degree for better flow/dispersion. As in maybe the amateurs at ACS could be more involved in a more fine tuned device to put it mildly.

The only thing odd here is you !

    Not sure who you are?

I have NOT HAD to modify anything at all.

If you read everything ive done you will see its all just because i can and want to.

Sorry if you do not agree .

I also clearly stayed i am not recommending anyone else to do any of this as its a deviation from the idea behind the safety sleeve. I just like to do my own thing .

This is nothing to do with ACS which i made CLEAR at the beginning.

All to satisfy my curiosity .

Not sure what is actually wrong with that.

What machine do you use out of curiosity?

I see you are well ahead of anyone who designs coffee roasting gear and had to make your own custom model.

"“Hand built as I don’t like the limitations most purpose built roasters tend to have.”"

You’re too clever to be hanging out here clearly!

This statement is neither accurate, respectful, or fair. They practice continuous improvement and release those improvements as soon as they can. I remember from past posts you view this as using customers as beta testers. I see it as a similar approach to the IT world. These are not mass produced machines, so there is little to no stock to work through.

Hi Dave – just saw your latest video on the new display – is there an upgrade kit for previous machines ,, mine was delivered a few weeks ago and has all the same display info except for the last screen showing “pre to brew” and the 5 second non-solenoid active feature

is this an entirely new board or is it a simple software update

          thx

Why would anyone buy nurri lever machines? Well, those of us who own nurri levas bought them because they make superlative espresso, are a joy and so easy to operate and use, and look incredibly good. As for nurri as a company, they have their own factory that is churning out nurri machines, and plan to be around for the long run. There are no guarantees that nurri or acs for that matter will survive in the far future, but then again there are no such guarantees of any coffee manufacturer at the end of the day…

You are right that nurri wws the first to implement the venting the grouphead on demand feature on the LSM grouphead along with the rotary pump as well.
On the nurri method for venting the grouphead, there is a cost to everything and it depends what your priorities are. If the nurri way of venting the grouphead is “basic” to you, it does allow the user to control exactly how much he wants to vent the grouphead whether partially or fully by virtue of its mechanical nature. As well the lack of pressure differentials that cause the dirty water on top of the puck to be sucked back into the grouphead past the puck screen makes there is no fouling of the internals of the nurri.

U have to decide which one is it u r trying to suggest - am I triggered or am I on commission??? LOL Because both are mutually exclusive!!!

Look, in a more serious vein, if it is legitimate for u and that other member to suddenly allude to the nurri in a thread that has nothing to do with the nurri at all, then it is at the very least equally (if not more so) legitimate for me to make a reply comment on it being someone who has actually owned and used a nurri and thus having the personal knowledge (unlike you and that guy) to make that comment…so I can just as legitimately put the same question to you - are you triggered by nurri to mwke that comment or are u on a commission ? LOL

After all why should my motives in defending a product I really like be questioned abd your motives for casting a negative view (“basic”) on it not be also questioned? Or better yet - how about keeping your comments on the topic at hand instead of making ad hominem comments at each other?

oh im not bothered, they both have faults.

im just taking the mick as some one mentions nurri and you pop up lol thats all it makes me chuckle,

im so far removed from coffee now that i dont care anymore, there would be a time that id argue back but meh

LOL U just had to dredge that one up again. That had already been explained long ago - that was their postal and contact address. (In fact u were on that thread if my memory serves me right so u know all this already…) Nurri never said that that address on their website at the time was their factory address. Their factory was in an industrial part of town and I shared about that in a previous post in either this forum or ln HB. If any of you wanted to visit the nurri factory, you could always contact antonio nurri to arrange a tour of his factory for yourself and u can then look for that signboard on the premises yourself in person instead of making passive aggressive insinuations on forums that nurri supposedly doesn’t have a factory.

                    Cuprajake
It’s hardly a joke to suggest someone of taking a commission to post on a forum actually, and so I responded in kind. I always pop up if anyone mentions nurri levers and u should know that by now. Live long and prosper as well…
