What did postman bring today ?
I wouldn’t worry about the small lip from the dosing funnel, just bump portafilter with heel of hand to level.
I bought the O-rings from the link in Dave’s FAQ post: https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/p512590/BS010-1.78mm-Section-6.07mm-Bore-VITON-Rubber-O-Rings/product_info.html.
Maybe you are getting confused because the picture shows bigger rings? I think it’s just a generic photo they use of an O-ring, not the actual product. What’s important is the size: BS010 (the measurements of it are 1.78mm Section 6.07mm bore).
It does look very similar doesn’t it, but it’s obviously not a lagom mini, although I wonder if they’ve had their grinder made in China, either rebranded/modified something that already existed. Or Lagom made something new and have been copied. I don’t even know who actually makes this but I’m interested to see how it performs and what it’s like as a grinder.
12-18 for espresso haha

They seem to be for almost all of them…but if well designed, they shouldn’t be needed…
Do you have a link for the wdt tool?

They’ve put up the price to £9 but I still like it. I’m probably going to buy a coffee one from etsy to make a fair comparison at some point.
Thanks. Have just received my Niche so will have a play this weekend and get a wdt tool if needed.
BigTTony good find…good job it doesn’t say coffee, or they could double the price.
I weakened….
Tamping Mat (£9.65) and distributor (£8.99)
Distributor is aluminum handle and very fine steel needles (8 with 2 spares).
There’s a tremor in the force.. .
DavecUK which dosing funnel do you have? Is it an ‘inny’ or an ‘outy’?
I’m finding it’s quite a well debated topic that some feel the ‘inny’ versions create channelling issues, but the counter argument is that the inner rim doesn’t penetrate deeply enough to cause the effect. I’ve kind of concluded that spending £2500 on my set up is justification in itself to buy a dosing funnel that doesn’t sit inside the rim. I’ve seen some nice walnut versions on etsy for around £30 and if course there is the ‘decent’ funnel, but I’m struggling for other options to consider.
