Cuprajake

I don’t understand what u mean, Jake. Could u clarify what u mena by getting where in the end? The lever handle comes up at a smooth and safe speed when the venting function is actuated.

I think Jake would like to see a video of the lever rising after the paddle has been used to depressurise the group at the start of a shot or with a blind basket.
I promise to do one for the Vostok when I get it if one hasn’t already surfaced by then.

Take it easy friend, you have a lovely highly capable machine.
People are interested in it and will delve deeply into its capabilities and idiosyncrasies.
Comments are just that not complaints nor insults.

I was not offended by what Cuprajake said. I literally did not understand what Cuprajake meant and thus was asking for him to clarify what he meant so that i can reply.

As far as I am concerned Antonio is a friend of mine, so if his machine brings him success, then good luck to him. We just need to celebrate the abundance of advanced levers, rather then the very over priced, underwhelming basic offerings we had before!

Oh, Take it easy was not meant as an admonition at all.
It was meant as enjoy the wonderful things we have, the position of life we find ourselves in and take time to enjoy its pleasures.🙂

Indeed, enjoyment of coffee is what a spring lever is all about- elegance, ease, and above all, taste…

The Nurri comes with a mini drip tray riser that sits on the drip tray to elevate smaller cups closer to the group head.

The problem is that the riser is too narrow for my Acaia Lunar scale to sit on it and remain stable.

          Ali Express to the rescue.

metal or plastic, it looks like the decent scale thing

Decent De1pro v1.45 - Niche Duo - Niche Zero - Decent is the best machine ever made -

Amberale To be clear AA it’s not ideal. I’d far prefer to Nurri to make the riser tray wider.

I am still a little surprised that a new machine doesn’t take into account that modern prosumers are going to want to use a scale. Even Decent, is only just starting to design a drip tray that accommodates a scale and there are a proliferation of aftermarket objects like the AE version above that are filling that gap.

The Nurri riser is fine for a cup but it Antonio seems to have assumed that no one wants to use a scale.

Same for shot mirrors although at least the Decent has one built in.

So … the white stand, which is not exactly “integrated” into the look of the Nurri, may well prove to be a wobbly mis step in the right direction.

Sorry mate, it’s not really that bad.
It’s just that it covers the lovely “Nurri” cut out and doesn’t look stable enough to put the scale underneath.
I’d also be concerned about it marking the front.

Manufacturers are catching up with a lot of thing so hopefully scale friendly designs are coming.

Who needs scales just count Mississippis and your fine 😂

Have you seen the acaia pixies there didy

Cuprajake good idea, I had forgotten about them.

Yes very tiny. Had one to try but sold it because the size of the lunar was more practical. It would have been a good option for the Nurri tx Jake but unfortunately it doesn’t come in white.

I’ve poured some shots with the AE stand and it worked pretty well.

This pic shows plan b which is a taller espresso cup (Fellow Monty Cup - Matte White/Copper - 6.5oz) alongside the AE stand, both on top off Lunar scales.

The gap between the group head and the top of the taller cup will work fine and I’ll see if I can get the local engineering shop to copy the Nurri riser, only wider.

I actually don’t use the wire stand that comes with the machine hardly at all nowadays since I put my timemore scale underneath. Once I put either a bodum or a kruve cup underneath the portafilter, i find the cup is high enough, so I find the height to be perfect actually.
